Since a friend of mine sent me this picture of Charles Jourdan's models he spotted in a window while staying overnight in this German city, I feel like going there because they become pretty scarce. I didn't talk about the brand since the commercial court in Romans-sur-Isère approved a takeover bid from the investment fund Finzurich in March (for those who are interested in the Jourdan's saga, click here, here, there and there, in that order). I did some research and found out that the situation of this footwear luxury brand is not getting better. The fund said that the creation of Finzurich France is taking time and that's why they couldn't invest the 15 millions euros they first guaranteed and hire back 130 workers of the 190 who lost their job in last December. So in June, the liquidator declared that he was going to ask the the commercial court in Romans-sur-Isère to cancel the decision made in March and the contract between Jourdan and Finzurich. I've got no further informations but it doesn't look good.

So finally I might be right when I tought that the pair I bought in Geneva is gonna be a collector. So why not taking a ride to Baden Baden, its thermal baths, its casino and the shadow of Dostoïevski.
