At the end of my post about Converse I was wondering what kind of sneakers I would buy for this Summer. As most of the well known brands collections are made by Chinese manufacturers such as the powerful Yue Yuen Industrial (Holdings) Limited, I thought that if I have to wear "Made in China", let's choose a 100% Chinese brand. So I looked for a pair of Shulong, which means approximately "dragon at ease", and which have been worn by the Chinese for fifty years. Now we can find them in France (but also in Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden and soon England and Germany), thanks Up To Two, a French import company. With their round shapes, their ergonomic soles which stimulate five reflexology massage points and the competitive prices, I think the Shulong are pretty attractive.
So Saturday, I found my pair of ShuClassic, 100% cotton canvas. I must admit that there was only a 8 size left but I bought them because the brand provides extra soles and they were sold 18 euros, so I thought it was a bargain anyway. But now I want to find a pair of ShuHigh at my size (7) and quickly because they are really comfortable and pretty. A little bit too clean but it won't take long to change that.
