A Quick Look Back At 09

I totally agree with Jennine from The Coveted about writing a blog. And despite all the hard or heavy things that happened around me in 2009, I know why I'll keep on blogging. I flipped through this past year archives this afternoon and did a selection of what I shared with you. No nostalgia, it just gives me the thrust to keep on moving and doing it my way!

I met Vicente Rey and took my first class of handmade shoemaking.

I showed you my personal shoe museum and took you from Broadway to Ernest.

Month of Fashion Week, kinda love it!
I met and wrote about Max Kibardin, my sister got married, and I liked Annabel Winship's Summer line.

As I thought, it was not easy to leave Paris and find some kind of a balance.
Miss
Nicole Brundage and Jancovek's Summer collections.

Some kind of a month! A screening and party at Pring's boutique and a fitting at Estelle Yomeda's, a visit to Merci's store and a meeting with Philippe Zorzetto. A tribute to my teacher who told me his own story of Coco Chanel's bicolor sandals.

Still wondering about the reopening of Charles Jourdan's boutiques and the future of the brand...But mostly I felt head over heels for Larare.

Month of Fashion Week again!
Presentation of the Erotokritos for André collection at The Ritz, so glitz!!!!! Roger Vivier's auction. I would have loved to wear those Gianvito Rossi's sandals for my cousin's wedding except that it took place in the countryside...

Before Summer holidays, a look back at Under le Louvre Fashion Trade.

The shoes I wore at my brother's wedding, and yes I attended 3 weddings in 09! Lovely moments! Opening of Stéphane Verdino and Eple and Melk's boutiques in le Marais.

Month of...... Fashion Week! And the great Antwerp Fashion Trip.

The fashion week reports kept on with Dice Kayek Istanbul Contrast at the Ritz Bar. Salvatore Ferragamo for ever... Amylee's lovely paintings. Opening of Little Moon's first boutique. And finally so much fun at the Sarenza's high heel race.

One of the thing I love about the fashion weeks is that I can keep on posting photos months later...
Private visit to Walter Steiger Bottier. The chocolate shoe by Pierre Marcolini. A glance at two beautiful pair of shoes of the next Larare's Summer collection. And some kind of a mystery I will reveal pretty soon...

Hope you love the journey and because it's one of my favorite shot of 09... see you soon!
